When it comes to detoxing your life: mind, body, and home, there are a lot of things you can control. And in my opinion, the very best place to start detoxing is with your food! Why? Because Food. Is. Medicine. Food should be good for you. And food should also be fun and delicious, right? Well, my dear… I got you! Get your spatulas ready, it’s time to get cookin’!
Please know that I am not a dietitian, but I am a mom that is concerned with the foods her family is eating. While I do NOT know the caloric or nutritional content of each meal, I do know that these meals are easy, delicious, and completely organic. These meal ideas are not about losing weight or gaining weight. These meal ideas are about eating organically, utilizing leftovers for lunches, and preparing EASY, delicious meals that your kids will actually eat, without guilt over GMO’s and chemicals. I do try to go easy on simple carbohydrates, refined sugars, and dairy, but I do not eliminate them entirely. I believe it is important to eat a variety of foods from all of the food groups. Please use extreme caution if you have any food allergies. If you have allergies or aversions to certain foods, swap accordingly with other organic options. Remember, these are simply ideas. I did not include pork in my meal ideas because organic pork can be extremely difficult to come by. These meal ideas and recipes are for educational purposes only.
