TOOLS & INGREDIENTS
- Milk (preferably RAW)
- Yogurt Starter
- Ninja, Instapot, or Similar with Yogurt Function
You can find recipes online to make this on the stovetop- but it has been much more realistic for us to be able to do it in our NINJA. Then it does all the work and I don’t have to babysit it all day.
I start this process in the morning the day before I need it. While it requires very little from me, it is a long process.
PROCESS
Step One: Add 4 Cups of Chilled Milk to the your NINJA
Step Two: Turn to Yogurt Function
Step Three: Allow milk to be heated to appropriate temperature and then cooled (you do nothing for this step, just allow your NINJA to do the work. You will be needed in approximately 3 hours)
Step Four: When your NINJA signals you, add in the yogurt starter. Below I have linked the two I like the best.
Step Five: Press the continue or start button (depending on what you’re using) and allow the incubation to begin, about 8 hours.
Step Six: When the incubation is over, put the yogurt in a container (glass preferred) and refrigerate overnight (or about 6 hours).
